NPRC can professionally manage your claim so you don’t have to, keeping you informed throughout the process, and completing the restoration work of your home or business. With an insurance claim, a homeowner’s only out-of-pocket expense is their deductible.

  • If there is no insurance claim to report an Estimate for Repair or Replacement will be provided.

  • If a claim is filed, you will be provided with a claim number and an insurance property inspection will be scheduled.

  • Drone Technology is utilized when necessary for steep pitched roofs or areas difficult to access.

INSURANCE ADJUSTER JOINT INSPECTION

If a claim is filed it is recommended that a North Peak ICC Certified Contractor represents you during the inspection process. This can greatly facilitate claim approval and the inclusion of significant details, simplifying the claims process and providing for an accurate assessment of damages.

  • We do not require a contract to meet with your insurance adjuster.

  • Claims must be filed for a specific weather-related event, which we can establish and validate if unknown.

  • Measurements (mechanical or aerial/satellite) are recorded and additional detailed photos for documentation are taken.

3

CLAIMS COVERAGE PAPERWORK REVIEW

With claim approval, your insurance carrier will provide a detailed claim report referred to as the ‘Scope of Work.’ NPRC will review this report and the detailed breakdown for proper inclusion of all materials and labor necessary to restore your roof and property. The claim details can then be discussed. You will also be issued your first check (Actual Cash Value) from the insurance company, with depreciation payments held (on RCV Policies) until all work is complete.

  • Working from the insurance carrier’s estimate we can confirm that accurate and complete coverage is provided, with any missing details, such as code requirements, being addressed. This establishes the framework for optimal and efficient claims coverage and processing. Insurance carriers always recommend providing a copy of your claim paperwork and estimate to any contractor or company you consider working with.
*Individual estimates are not provided for insurance claims, with carriers establishing a baseline for cost coverage.

  • An estimate which is lower than the insurance companies estimate simply reduces cost coverage. An owner’s final insurance payment will be reduced and reflective of a lower estimate. Working from the insurance estimate provides optimal policy coverage, often allowing for free upgrades.

  • If a claim is not approved and damages validate claim coverage, a reinspection will be scheduled with your carrier.

ROOF MATERIALS ARE DISCUSSED & OPTIONS PROVIDED

We work with all major materials manufacturers, providing good, better and best options. Product samples are available upon request.

WE WORK WITH QUALITY MATERIALS

All materials are not created equally and we advise based on several factors, most importantly field experience and performance observation.

Every roof is installed under the oversight of an ICC National Roofing Contractor.

Proper installation is of utmost importance. We utilize the same crews with every installation.

CONTRACT REVIEW & SIGNING

Our contract is provided for review, outlining the details for the work to be completed and reflective of claims coverage. A contract is signed when the owner would like to proceed.

  • We do not believe in rushing into signing contracts.

6

INSURANCE SUPPLEMENTS ARE SUBMITTED & THE CITY/COUNTY PERMIT IS PROCESSED

Supplements for the permit, code required upgrades, and omitted restoration details are submitted, as standard practice, for insurance claim coverage. We will negotiate and resolve any details or discrepancies on your behalf with the carrier.

  • We keep owners informed throughout the claims process.

8

WORK COMPLETION

Warranty paperwork is now filed with the manufacturer and carrier paperwork is completed for insurance premium savings.

9

THE CLAIM IS CLOSED

With all work complete the proper documentation is provided to the insurance carrier and all remaining payments are released, including depreciation and claim supplements.

10

A FINAL ROOF INSPECTION IS SCHEDULED & COMPLETED BY THE CITY/COUNTY

Pending city/county availability after a storm the inspection may be completed after payment has been collected.

11

PAYMENT IS COLLECTED

We do not get paid until you get paid. We never collect payment until work is complete and you have received payment from your insurance carrier.

  • With an insurance claim, a homeowner’s only out-of-pocket expense is their deductible.

  • Insurance payments which have been released/paid, and the homeowner’s deductible, are collected with the completion of contracted trade work. Remaining Supplement & Depreciation Payments are only collected after being received by the owner.

  • Your Mortgage Company may be listed on your insurance check(s) which requires their signature, and often their own inspection after all work has been completed. Contact your mortgage company if they are listed, and do not delay as this often takes significant time. Remaining payments should be made within 30 days of job completion.
